How do u prevent car sickness? |
Travel Info i am going to a friends house by car for x-mas but i get car sickness is there a way to prevent it? Travel Tips Instructions STEP 1: Eat lightly before embarking on your trip. Try snacking on crackers to absorb excess saliva or sucking on a lemon or an olive. STEP 2: Take a position near the front of the vehicle, whether it's a car, train or boat. STEP 3: Face the direction you're headed to keep eye and body sensations in sync with each other. STEP 4: Keep your eye trained on the horizon or on a fixed spot ahead of you. STEP 5: Chew intermittently on a piece of fresh ginger or sip a carbonated soda such as ginger ale. STEP 6: Consider taking powdered ginger, which is available in capsule form. Take two 500mg capsules 30 minutes before traveling, and one or two more after 4 hours if you start feeling nauseated. STEP 7: Keep the window open and fresh air accessible at all times. Others Dramamine helps a lot. Just make sure you get the non-drowsy kind. I take it before I ride roller coasters, and I almost never get motion sickness. Dramamine (I like the less or no drowsiness version). Sit in the front passanger seat and do not read any magizines, books or maps while car is moving. Works for me. Gum play 99 bottles of pop on the wall open a window Don't drink milk before a trip. Things with ginger is the best natural remedy for motion sickness. Pills are okay, but they aren't 100% natural. Stay slightly hydrated before the trip. Drink water. Don't drink so much of the carbonated stuff because they will produce excess carbon dioxide and cause you to feel worse.
