Travel Tips Being disable in my state and traveling all the time, any Disabled Placard or license plate you may have is automatically usable and legal in any state of the Union. This is according to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1976. You can be sure that you are safe from the law and that you will have peace of mind when using in another state.
