Im never a Saddam fan, but why I'm feeling sick when imaginin him to get hanged.Im wrongly finding it inhuman. |

It isn't that I believe Saddam Hussein is innocent of the charges. It's quite clear to me that he was a ruthless dictator who committed violent crimes against innumerable people. It isn't that I believe he is particularly worthy of being spared. If I'm going to put forth effort to save anyone, it will be the innocent victims in Darfur or others who find themselves in dire circumstances even though they have committed no crimes. I am upset by the pending execution of Saddam Hussein because I believe it is uncivilized to punish murder with murder. If we are going to say that violence and murder are repulsive to us as civilized human beings, then we should refrain from using murder as a punishment. Executing people -- even people like Saddam Hussein -- just perpetuates the cycle of violence that we are supposedly trying to end. To quote Gandhi, "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." Others Sure some people may feel that way...but you have to remember that he killed thousands of innocent people in a MUCH more brutal way. He had people tortured, gassed and killed by the dozens for no reason at all.... And even if that doesnt do it for you, just not having to look at his face or hear him talk anymore will certainly be pleasant.. wont it? i still dont know y there hanging him wat did he do Its natural to feel queezy when thinking about the actual Hanging. However think of those that had little or no justice say up to a Million - 1,000,000. that were gassed, shot, hung, acid bathed, wood chippered and what ever else were there punishment of choice. I'm not finding it inhuman at all. For what that man has done in his time... I wish i could throw turtle feces at him while he hangs You are just human. Even though he is an evil man, you still cringe of him being hanged. I do not like to hear of people being killed. I am just glad that I am not the one to make a decision. I had a supervisor who is Kurdish and his father was killed by Saddam or one of his flunkies. So I can see why some would like to see him hanged. your humane side urging u to protest against unlawfull hanging of saddam .not only this any human who loves justice would not appreciate this.so hurry time is running out.... |
