In which part of a plane are the chances of survival higher in case of a crash? |
Travel Info In other words, where on the plane should I sit in order to increase the chances of my surviving in the event of a crash? Travel Tips Some say the area over the wings is structurally stronger, but then again there are fuel tanks in the wings so there may be a big fire there. Others say the tail is safer because it may be furthest from the point of impact, but then it depends on the angle of the plane as it crashes, it may hit tail first. Probably the safest place is near a door so you can get out fast (but those who sit directly beside the door should be strong people who are physically capable of opening and maybe throwing out the door). Others My grandma heard from her friend who researches this stuff that its in row 10, on the aisle, I think on the right side (if your standing in the back of the plane looking forwards) as far to the rear as possible.... Nearest to the exit, so you'll be one of the first out in the event of a ditch. It is very, very unlikely you will survive a plane crash, especially from such as a 747, they usually explode into a fireball on impact. tail end Under the Seat or a Table !!!!! (obviously) by the tail because the plane when it chrashes hits nose first(in most cases) and the tail usualy does not get crush on impact |
