Best pill/ anything to relieve motion sickness? |
Travel Info Heh, nuff said:) Im going back to Orlando/ universal studios, and only recently have those motion rides with the screens made me sick. It's really wierd... Travel Tips my wife closes her eyes on those rides because she has the same effect. there are a few over the counter motion sickness meds that are used for things like boat rides. They should work for this as well. ask the pharmacy. Others Most people will try a motion sickness med like Dramamine, but those meds can make you extremely drowsy. The perfect remedy is ginger! If you don't like the taste of fresh or powdered ginger, make a batch of gingerbread cookies (with extra ginger) and eat those before you ride. There is a chemical in ginger that suppresses the nausea reflex. It was offered as a motion sickness remedy in the book "The People's Pharmacy". I've tried it and it works. Dramamine. It may make you drowsy, so make sure you are not driving, but it helps a lot. I have motion sickness and still managed to get on the Hulk at Universal....And didn't trow up. Have fun! Dramamine however it does cause drowsiness. There is also a patch you can get from your physician. Dramamine always works for me. There is a nondrowsy version of it, look in your local pharmacy or grocery store. Dramamine. Or keep your eyes closed...you are not really moving on those rides. I have extreme problems with motion sickness. Besides what other people have mentioned, there are some things called Queasy Pops which are suckers that can help. They recommend keeping food in your stomach too, I've found that that actually helps! |
