Holiday vaccinations ?? |
Travel Info I'm going to Goa in 2 weeks have i left it to late to have any vaccinations needed and how important is it that i have them, what's the risk of catching something, also how much does it cost to have them done? Travel Tips Go to your GP as he will know exactly what you need and where you can go to get them (Cholera and Typhoid are the two main vaccinations needed). Your GP will also be able to prescribe the correct malarial tablets for you to start taking immediately. Others It is very important! You never know what is lurking around in other places! So just to be safe go take the vaccines... i went to goa 7 yrs ago, my doctor charged 拢18 for all the jags needed, sorry cant remember what ones they were. i would get it done now ta tke your flue shot , stop complimg, go have a great time Better late than never... People do die from tropical diseases or end up with crippling conditions from them - would be a shame just out of lazyness wouldn't it???? You should see a travel doctor asap!!! Typical injections for India are typhoid and hepatitis A/B. Cholera may be given , but i think you can now take it in the form of a drink. Polio, tetanus and Diptheria may also be sensible to have, and you will probably have to take malaria tablets, some of which need to be taken up to a week before you leave and continued up to 4 weeks after you return! Prices vary between each doctor. |
