Travel Info Would never use stun gun on person or animal. Is there a way to test it safely? Travel Tips Why do you even have one if you would not use it on a person or animal. These are not used for target practice or skeet shooting. You may want to rethink this one! Others Find someone who is used to it. I have stunned 2 people with mine, but they let me do it and it wasn't so bad. test it on yourself and see what happens If you have acquired a stun gun legally you must be a policeman or in the law enforcement. The gun attacks the nervous system so a living thing is the only thing you can test it on. I wouldn't do it to an animal or a person, you could go to jail for that. Police officers test theirs on each other. use it on yourself If you decide to use it on yourself, then make sure that when you fall down that you turn lose of the stun gun. Stun guns use VERY high voltage, but VERY low current, but I am sure that the effects are quite strong. Some of them will also leave a tiny scar. You could put it across a metal object in the dark and watch for the electrical arc. You might be able to see the arc in daylight, but surely you would see one in a dark room or at night. It will be very brief. i've tested stun gun on myself. I bought one for my younger sister, because she works overtime and has to go home late at night. My arm clenched up, twitched and got 2 burn marks where the contacts were. if you're squeamish, test it on a grounded metal surface. How far it can arc is a good indication of the voltage. |
