Is it safe to give blood then fly on an airplane the next day? |
Travel Info Is it safe to give blood then fly on an airplane the next day? Travel Tips Yes. But I have given blood before, and frequently feel tired after. I also have had long air trips where I am dragging heavy luggage around in and out of cars and lines. Long days with skipped or improper meals makes flying tiring too. I would make sure you rest up and eat for energy before you leave home. And drink fruit juice and bottled water on the flight to stay hydrated. If it is a long flight, then you can at least rest a lot during the flight. Others YES! You could be a bit weak after donating blood but you will be offered orange juice and cookies to get your blood glucose levels and energy back up. Flying the next day is no problem since your metabolism will be back to normal. I don't see why not. Your body will have replaces the blood that you gave within a few hours time. Shouldn't be a problem as long as you replace the fluids taken and top up your sugars etc. That's why they only take 陆 a litre. You need to ask a physician who is familiar with the state of your health. Absolutely--theres nothing wrong with travelling after a blood donation or even if u v given ur blood-blood has the beauty of replacing itself--but just take some energisers if u feel week--or some health drinks or food just to pep u up Travel |
