Where can I see and find the Northern Lights ? |
Travel Info Where can I see the northen lights please list every country that has northern lights Travel Tips Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Alaska, Canada,....anywhere with land-mass above the Arctic Circle, although there have been many sightings down in Scotland. Bear in mind that the phenomena doesn't occur every night - and clouds will ruin your chances - so you may need to spend a few nights in your chosen area. A friend & I went to Tromso (in Northern Norway) for three nights and the only time we saw the lights was on the plane on the way up there! And, of course, it has to be dark, so by summer when these regions have 24-hours of daylight...forget it. Others you can see the northern lights in winconsin,alaska but rarely if you really want to see them go to alberta canada in wisconson Alaska, Alaska is the only place you can see them. Alaska, Sweden, all other upper north countries?We saw those while we were in Lappland in Sweden.It was a sight that i'll never forget,most amazing thing.Words cant describe the colors & splendour..If ure in the US,prolly head up north, it was easier for us coz we're in the middle of Sweden.So good luck! |
