Travel Tips They'd most likely say that it is, but since you're not used to their environment and whatever normal (usual) bacteria or virus that they have in their locale --- just go for the safest option and buy mineral bottled water. I'm definitely sure that it would still be cheaper to do that rather than you ending up in hospital with huge bills. Enjoy Others Yes .... If you want to catch Cholera!! I would not recommend drinking it. Always best to go for bottled. Usually if locals drink it they are immune to any possible bugs and mineral contents can also upset your tummy if it is a different content to what you are used to Highly unlikley. Drink bottled water to be safe. you may want to this about using a cup or glass ; - )) The quick answer is no. If you are on a luxury tour, you may be staying at hotels that purify their water, but even then you're wisest to avoid tap water in any Third World country. no. its not worth the risk. drink bottled water. and if not, use a water purifier i.e. idoine or MWP pre mac water purifier. you can also boil any suspect water for 5 minutes for extra safety. and remember drinks from bars and restaurants may contain tap water in them |
