Jacksonville Florida.why do they like to throw things at people riding bicycles? |
Travel Info I have lived in many towns.with no incidents but when I moved here.many times people will throw drinks and things at me while rideing.My brother told me that Jacksonville was a mean town.why or they so mean?black and white. Travel Tips My husband and I just moved to Jax last year. I run and ride often. No one has thrown anything at me here (happened in Atlanta often) but I can absolutely see what you are talking about. I have experienced the mean behavior in other areas.(My husband got badly bit by a dog that someone let off the leash to roam while we were running. The people were not remorseful at all. Had to let attorneys handle it.).. My only guess is that Jax is a lot like the old south,has a lot of small town qualities and people seem to have a hard time getting along.(red necks and very racially divided) ..It seems to be rough to me everywhere you go. I hope to eventually get used to it!?...definitely trying to give it a chance. My motto is keep riding and ignore..and know that you have other fellow athletes in Jax that enjoy it as much as you do. Others I have it on good authority that Jacksonville is perturbed that Ft. Lauderdale is famed as 'Spring Break Town" and they just can't let it go. |
