After 911, should i fear flying? |
Travel Info After 911, should i fear flying? Travel Tips I wouldn't fear it any more than you did prior to 911. All security eyes are on the airlines, and many schools of thought forecast the next major terrorist plot to focus on something other than airlines. Meanwhile, security continues to increase on mass transit, including armed air marshalls on many flights. You can still bring phones, cameras, laptops, etc...but must have them all inspected/x-rayed first. There is one other good thing about flying now. People all over the world are all aware of potential threats aboard planes, and are much more alert to signs of possible danger. Source(s): 100,000 miles flown/year Other Travel Tips No. The safety level has been WAY upped since then. You can't even bring cell phones, laptops, or even water on planes anymore for fear of bombs. only on orange alerts and shtuff like that No, actually air travel has been a lot safer since 9/11 Not any more than you did pre-911 No. It's kind of like asking, "Should I fear crossing the street" [because of the chance of a car hitting you]. It's all just chance. Bad luck. Just live your life as you normally would. |
