Travel Info This is for a standard passanger plane... manual inflation. Travel Tips You slip it on over your head and pull the chord. In the event that it does not inflate upon pulling the chords, you blow into the valves, and inflate it by mouth. Others Next time you fly, pull out the safety instruction card and read it carefully. BTW, do NOT inflate the life jacket inside the plane. It will slow you and the other passengers down and could cost someone their life (even if just a few seconds are lost). You're supposed to inflate the jacket OUTSIDE the plane. Many years ago on the tv show Dateline NBC, they talked about this. If the plane is under water, really don't inflate the jacket inside the plane bc you'll end up floating inside the plane and unable to get out. But overall, flying is safer than riding in a car and those jackets are there just in case of a worst case scenario. |
