Why do we need to open those slide windows on a plane before take off? |
Travel Info i don't know if they are considered as windows, but the the one that you put up to see the view, why do they always tell us to open it? Travel Tips Its a safety regulation, if incase a plane crashes during take off and landing, and if there are survivors, they can see better with all the shutters open where is the safest part of the plane to exit, and also to see if there is any fire on either side of the plane too, basically to know your surroundings, also airlines wont tell u this when boarding, or going through the safety procedures once seated as obviously no one wants to discuss this topic when about to take off. hope this helps. Source(s): i work for an airline Other Travel Tips for SIGHTSEEING(lol) or maybe in ur enjoyment, to forget that u r in a plane... because some people may have the phobea. in all the times i have flown not once were we told to leave them open...personally if we were to crash not sure i'd want to see what was coming so i'd keep it closed |
