Can your new apartment make you sick? |
Travel Info We have been our new apartment for about 10 days now, and we're all feeling pretty bad. Travel Tips If you have moved to a brand-new area it may be allergies because you're not used to the air (my grandfather moved two hours away from Dallas...had no problems in Dallas but when he got to Grand Saline, the allergies kicked in and have stayed). It could be any cleaning products the apartment complex has used to clean up your apartment...if they recently painted, it could be the paint fumes. There's a possibility it could also be mold... Long story short, yes it could make you sick. Others It can, it could be an allergic reaction to a cleaner used in the apartment. Make an appointment with your doctor to find if your suffering from an alergic reaction so you can narrow down whats causing it, and avoid it happening again. Could also be something that you both picked up during the move, alot of possibilities, ask your doctor to find out for sure. That sounds bad. You should ask your landlord, because houses can contain mold spores that will cause convulsions and eventually kill you, or carbon-monoxide. Not to scare you or anything, but I would have it checked out, especially if there are children or elderly people in your home. I would suggest investing in a carbon-monoxide detector. Hope it all works out for you. I had an experience with nausea when new carpet was installed it took 3 days to get rid of the symptoms. we feel that also whenever we transfer...but it passed! maybe you are just feeling new to the house and to the environment! you'll get used to it yes u can sure, did they clean the carpets before you moved in? could be something in the cleaner. |
