Drinking the water in MX?

okay so youre not supposed to drink the water in MX, but how about alcoholic blended drinks with ice in them??

Simply ask if the drinks are made with "hielo purificado", purified ice.

hmm, don't do it just in case...but u could ask them what kind of ice they use.
It is not recommended. Even if you don't consume the ice as it melts, whatever was in there is now in the the alcohol. And just because it was frozen doesn't make a difference to the bacteria (or chemicals) in the water.

Only drink water and ice from purified sources.
No water no ice then hopefully no Montezuma's revenge.
