This is it! Northern Ireland goes smoke free from Today? |
Travel Info I would like to ask the people of Northern Ireland what they think of the Smoke free work places. As you know from today it will be illegal to smoke in Bars,Resturaunts and all public buildings. Is this a good Idea or a bad one? I am a none smoker so for me as an ndividual I think it is great. P.S. for the person with the nervous friend worried about the airport: tell her airports have smoking rooms, she just needs to find them. Thanks for supporting the smoking ban as a smoker- try chewing gum at work, and view it as a chance to try to quit!? Others Why has it taken so long, there are no health benefits, yet it has taken years. The government are wimps. The odd drink hurts no one, smoking is clearly a killer so i dont understand why it is not banned outright or double the tax on it and make the legal age 21. good morning, im northern irish but live in malta, we here have been smoke free for nearly a year and people just get on with it, not much fuss made at all. i own a restaurant and its just natural to get up and walk outside to have a puff after your meal. you see the shop workers standing outside there shops puffing away, again no moaning. I think its a good idea, if you smoke youll continue to smoke but you dont hurt anyone elses lungs in the process.. As two smokers from Northern Ireland we think that it is a good idea, however we belive that there should be a place for smokers to go and have a smoke away from non-smokers and not outside...... My colleauge has just said that she is dreading going to the airport, as she has a big fear when flying and now she cannot have a smoke to calm her nerves........ We are now sitting in our work place with no nails left coz we cant smoke !!!!! We just dread the winter !!! AHHHHHHHHH On reading what the first person has written about drink not killing people of couse it does, you have drunk drivers, and alcholollics plus if the UKs smokers stoped buying ciggys for one day the national health service would crash as the goverment would have no money to fund it and that is a fact ..... PS its a lovely day isnt it !!!! airports do not have smoking rooms tee the ban is a complete ban in ALL public places !!! US !!!! |
