Do you need injections if u are going on a holiday to mexico? |
Travel Info im from the uk and im going to mexico early august. Would i need malaria injections or whatever they are called? Travel Tips Here is what the CDC recommends: http://www.cdc.gov/travel/camerica.htm#v... If you are just going to someplace like Cancun & not leaving the hotel zone, probably just need tetanous & hepatitis a, but check with your doctor. If you need the whole list of immunizations, start early so you don't need to get 5-6 in one day. Source(s): Center for Disease Control for list. Other Travel Tips No, you don't need injections, unless you plan to spend time in the jungle than I would suggest you talk to you doctor about malaria pills.) No vaccines are necessary. No problem if you are booking the normal mainstream vacations, and not living in the poor areas. But you might want to consider hepatitis A & B. If you decide to do that go soon, as one of them usually requires two injections a considerable time appart. No you do not need injections but you may want to bring bug spray. Sometimes the mosquitos can get pretty bad. My wife got bit while at dinner one night. She sprayed herself with bug spray and was fine after that.
