If I get airsick in planes, would I get sick in a helicopter? |
Travel Info If I get airsick in planes, would I get sick in a helicopter? Travel Tips It is possible that you will still get sick in a helicopter, but I have noticed that many of my passengers are surprised that they were not bothered by the ride at all, even if they would have been in a plane. My personal theory is that the larger surface area of an airplane's wings make it more susceptible to turbulence (especially small airplanes). Also, helicopters feel different than airplanes. Airplanes seem to have more up and down turbulence, whereas in helicopters the tail tends to move back and forth. You may respond differently to helicopters, for better or for worse, and until you fly in one, you won't know for sure. If you get sick in small planes only, I would be optimistic about the helicopter. If you get sick in airliners, then I think the chances of you getting sick in helicopters would be just as likely. Source(s): Helicopter Pilot Other Travel Tips Yes, and it will probbaly be alot worse since a helicopter is smaller than a plane. Possibly but you may never know unless you make a try of it. |
