Does the pacemaker has negative effects to the pacemaker users?

My friend just got a pacemaker put in last august. She is still doing almost everything she used to. But she has to stay away from like hot tubs, massaging chairs, anything with a electrical effect. That can cause her pacemaker to go off prematurely, she had to find that out the hard way. She also cant do as much exercising as she used to she has to make sure her heart rate doesn't get to fast other wise it will shock her....unfortunately that happened to her too, but now she knows all of this so she just has to be cautious when doing certain things. |
