Pilots or flight attendants....how do you prevent from getting Deep Vein Thrombosis? |
Travel Info does it really help wearing ANY anti embolism stockings? If so what type is the best or is it neccessary to take some anti-coagulant beforehand/ Travel Tips Important to keep moving the limbs i.e. don't remain immobile for too long . If seated try simple execises for the feet and legs to keep the blood circulation going and as far as possible get up and walk the aisle. Others Walk around the isle every half hour or so and while seated keep stretching your feet now and then. Flight Attendants are not sitting for the whole flight. They are up walking around so it is not much of a worry. Honestly I feel that flight attendants should wear sneakers or similar clothing to Postal workers. Female flight attendants wear shoes with heels and skirt which is inappropriate in times of emergencies. They are supposed to be last person to leave the plane in case of emergencies and they are not wearing proper clothing. If they jump in a plane chute they have to remove their footwear because the shoe heel might get caught. |
