What is the best cures for jet lag?

i am travelling from melbourne to glasgow soon and have to get on a tour very soon aftereards...any suggestions people?

after travelling just take a rest it'l help a lot, stay calm and at ease
Take melatonin.
We just knock ourselves out to stay awake until a normal, but early, dinner and bedtime on arrival day, set our alarm clocks for seven-ish the next morning, and don t seem to have many problems, except in dark theatres the first few nights.
What really helped was watching what I ate and drank before, during, and after the flight.
Try to get up at 5 AM for several mornings before the flight to get set a bit closer to European time. Just before boarding the plane take a melatonin. After a good nap on the plane, and an early first night in Europe, I m just about 100%.
Firstly the best remedy is always:
SLEEP ON THE PLANE.

It does wonders believe me! But if your one of those people who just can't sleep on an airplane don't worry.

What you do then is when you get to Glasgow push yourself to get into there sleeping patterns asap.

If it is 4.30 pm and you are tired, don't go to bed because you will be awake by 2 in the morning and then tired at 4.30 again.
Try and push yourself a couple more hours say 6.30, then even if your are up at 4 in the morning the next night push yourself another couple of hours so bed at 8.30 etc.

Also If you wake up in the middle of the night don't get up and move around, stay in bed and read or something, you should drift off again quickly.

Within a day or so you should be good.

Basically just remember
Dark = Sleep
Light = Awake

the best thing working for me is to take a sleeping pill in function of the time of the country of arrival so you feel fresh and ready.
