Why so quick to condemn the lawyer?

but,so much sympathy for the UNFIT parents that left their CHILDREN ALONE while they left to EAT without them?
yes,i realize the t.b thing but,you do you realize how many diseases you are exposed to on a daily basis?my father had tb.i never caught it.yes it possible to spread but,paranoid people blow it out of proportion.

Though the parents should have realised through common sense that it isn't a good idea to leave the kids alone, I doubt that someone said to them, "you shouldn't do that" and definitely not, "you can't do that." The lawyer with TB was told not to fly back the US on a commercial flight, he was even put on the no-fly list and had his passport flagged. You have to be selfish and stupid to travel after you are told you can't. The guy potentially exposed many people to a deadly disease just because he didn't want to get treatment in Italy, which seems very stupid to me since they are ranked #2 in the world as far as health care and the US is #37. Even if no one does get ill from him, many people have to go get TB tests, and that costs them or the government money and emotional stress for those concerned and their families.

The parents were just lacking common sense, the guy with TB was stupid and selfish. It is a lot easier to have compassion for the former.
