You are backing up one way or the other, so it depends on when that would be a bigger hassle. Say if it the type of place that everybody works the same hours. Say some people start to trickle in at 8 and slowly arrive over the next hour, and even a few stragglers after 9am. BUT THEN when the whistle blows at 5PM on a Friday the lot empties in a matter of minutes. Then it would be safer to back in as the lot busy time is at closing and people will be pulling straight out and not backing into traffic with a blind spot. Company's usually like you to park with the front of the vehicle facing the building because when you go to your car to leave and start the engine the exhaust does not blow against the brick work of the building and leave black marks and does not get into any vents that may be close by safety reasons - its easier to pull strait out - you can see where you are going and is less chance of backing into someone or cutting to sharp and hitting the side on someones car. especially at night. I have bee to facilities where they ask you to point the vehicle out in case there is an evacuation, this way if you leave the property at once you can drive forward safely. |
