Motion Sickness...?

In about 2 weeks I'm going on a 10 hour plane flight. Problem? I get motion sickness! Basically, I get on the plane for 10 hours.. get off and then have a 3 hour drive to the place I'm staying.

Er... I'm not too happy about it. Are there any good medications or ways to prevent me from vomiting every time I get on a moving car/plane/bus/ship/etc.?

P.S. I've heard that apples may help prevent vomiting.. is that true? And I only get motion sickness if I'm on a car/plane/bus/ship/etc. for longer than half an hour.

I would take something like Dramamine on your flight. Since its a 10 hr flight, then it's probably an overnight flight and you will most likely be tired. I would try to sleep and bring warm clothes to sleep in as the plane will probably be cold. Then, I'd bring crackers like saltines, and try some Ginger Ale. If it's really bad though, you might want to talk to your doctor, because maybe they can get you a prescription for something. On the car ride, take Tums or Rolaids, (usually helps me) and don't read or watch a movie. I would look out the window, maybe look ahead on the road so you don't get that weird sensation when you are looking down and going forward ( what makes you naseaus.) You could try sleeping in the car, too.

whenever I get that feeling of dizziness or motion sickness like during long flight, I drink cold sodas from the plane or ice water and Snickers candy bar! something sweet!! and think happy thoughts...if you think of vomiting then you will most likely vomit...
I get motion sickness too. Dramamine works for me. The apple bit or bread.... they do not work. Good Luck!
On a plane, I get up and walk around. Never read. Keep your head moving. Motion sickness occurs when you keep your head still. It's something to do with the liquid in your inner ear. Chewing anything helps.
