Belize Vaccinations?

Hi there. Traveling to Placencia, Belize from the US in October. Are there any vaccinations I need to get before I go?

Agree with the above. My family and I have been in Belize now for about two years. Before moving here we took malaria pills because it was suggested by our health care provider but stopped taking them shortly after moving here because it was obvious that no one we knew (local and foreigner) was using them. In short, it is probably not necessary but why take the risk if you are only going to be here a short time.

Also, Placencia is a great place to visit - have fun.

I have been to Belize several times. You don't need any vaccinations. However, we took Malaria pills before we went due to the problems that they have with misquitoes. Take some bug off too... Have fun!
