my partner is scared of flying anyway and now with the airport attempt he has gone to fever pitch, and is passing it on to me. i said it safer now because security is so high, what do you think

you are right security will be high at all airports and you should both feel reassured by this.
l feel saddened that these lunatics do this to our country and scare the hell out of innocent people.
please don't let them put you off going on your holiday you have worked hard for the holiday and deserve to enjoy yourselves.
If your partner is scared of flying anyway get him to visit the doctor who will prescribe him something to calm his nerves.

Are you flying from a major airport? Because I would think the terrorists will be targeting major airports and not little ones.
There is always an element of risk in whichever thing we do each day. Be comforted with the fact that airports are being extra diligent with the country being on critical alert. Remember terrorism can occur even when we are not on alert...look at July bombings in London and 9/11
I go to tunisia on sunday. If you think about it too much it ruins your hols. Something like this could happen wherever you go or live so just look forward to your hols and enjoy!!
