It's a great place to stay if you're traveling on a budget and would like to meet people. You can check www.hihostels.com to look for a hostel in every country in the world. They are safe and clean most of the time, I haven't had any bad experience with YH. The cost depend on the country/city. You may or may not like it, but do give it a shot. Best of luck!
