Can you go on a boat whilst you are on sick leave from work? |
Travel Info on sick from work and I would like to know if there is a law stopping you going on a boat. Travel Tips Depends what you are on sick leave for. And what type of boat you are referring to. For instance if you are off work with severe back pain and you are going out in a small fishing boat then it could be said the motion would add pressure to your back pain. If you are sick leave for something like depression thre is very little you "can't" do ie if a trip on an ocean liner/cruise is to help with the problem then there is nothing an employer could do Others no but if your suppose to be off sick then you wouldnt be going on a boat, if they found out then you would be in trouble Depends why you are off SICK... No law against going on a boat as such, but you may be asked to explain why you were seen on a boat claiming 2 broken legs and a shattered spine! however, if it was a sore throat...... You get the idea, but NO there iss no law stopping you going on a boat while ill. Depends what your off with. If stress you are able to leave your home as this could be classed as rehabilitation. Other illness not advisable as this could be a breech of company policy. Make sure your boss is not on board the same boat as you. I wouldn't advise it if you are sea-sick!
