Is it safe to drink the tap water in Tacoma, WA? |
Travel Info I recently got sick and my doctor told me that possible cause for this is that I drank water that had bacterias in it! I frequently drink water and I want to know if it is safe to drink the the tap water in my kitchen? Travel Tips All water provided in cities, such as Tacoma must meet certain safety standards by law. However, your pipes could be an issue depending on the age of your home. Generally speaking, western, particularly north western states have the "safest" water. However if you are concerned about your water, try a faucet mounted purifier. I prefer the Pur filter the mount cost about $30.00, filters are about $15 & last my 2 person household about 3-4 months (we drink a ton of water). Hope this helps. Others Only if your pipes are really bad. I drink tap water all the time. I wouldn't go drink water from a stream or anything but your tap water should be treated to prevent getting sick. You can always get one of those water purifiers and hook it up to your faucet. |
