Travel Info If youve tried all the shop stuff, any ideas whats best for travel sickness? Travel Tips it really depends on the kind of travel. If its a ferry then even before it sets off ,find a long seat and lie down . This really does work as i was told this by regular ferry travellers after i was sick for 5 hours on my first trip .Now ,it never happens and Ive told lots of people and its worked for them . Planes are another matter and i still take good old Quells when flying and up to now never been sick since . I never thought it would work... my wife is a teacher and she's tested this and proven it time and time again on school trips. "bin there dun that" might be right but I found just eating Ginger biscuits work just great. In fact they are good for any kind of sickness.. morning sickness etc. However if you still find that nothing works then try drinking a big glass of Pineapple juice before you start you journey.. this wont stop you from being sick but they say that pineapple juice tastes exactly the same when it comes up as when it goes down.. Ginger tablets work, also try nibbling ginger biscuits when travelling. They used to say to look directly ahead and focus on one thing but it's been proved that this confuses the brain even more as you're effectively making it think you're sitting still and the brain needs to know you're moving. So try counting the lines on the road or fence posts etc, it works for both me and my daughter. But the only shop bought thing we tried that seems to work is a herbal tablet called Travella, you can get it in Boots and it really does help. good luck. Giger is said to be good. I have found Qualms help. Make sure that you can see outside. |
