Can someone tell me the best walking trails in Tasmania and when is the best time of year to go?

The Overland Track at Cradle Mountain is probably the most well-known bushwalk and it covers some really beautiful spots. It runs for more than 65 kms through the heart of the Tasmanian wilderness world heritage area. You'll have to be physically fit to do it and it could be cold and wet if the weather is bad. Best time is summer as there's more daylight hours but April is still good. Winter is probably only for the hardcore adventurers. |
