Bowling has been around for so long that the older names for the game like "10 pin" and "5 pin" and "Feather" were out of date by the time Hawaii was introduced to bowling. The Hawaiian language doesn't have a Hawaiian word for every English word and I believe "bowling" could be one of them. uh bowling? Hawaiians call it bowling too!
