However, here on Maui you can find famous "Little Beach" in Makena where people routinely swim and sunbathe in the nude.

It is not legal, but people there have been doing it for years and - typical of Hawaiian local attitude - so long as people do not get rowdy, the authorities tend to look the other way. If you are really serious about going to a nude beach, this is the one to go.

Another beach where people like to swim in the nude is Poolenalena beach in South Maui. Fewer people know about this beach and you have to stay in the secluded area to towards the north end of the beach.

Remember, it is not legal so be very discreet and keep it quiet. Do not ruin the fun for everyone else.

On an ending note, it is so ironic how so many tourist like to come to Hawaii seeking to swim in the nude. It used to be that when outsiders first came to Hawaii, they told the Hawaiians they could not swim and walk around in the buff. Alas, nowadays, when tourists come to Hawaii, all they want to do is swim and walk around naked.
