Others bring a good pair of shoes, we go every years and walk all over the place, we meet thousands of other travellers in youth hostiles . you can get cheap rides from one island to the others if you meet the nicer people of the islands fishermen and their families will always help you out the natives are the kindest people on earth and would never turn you away. Go to the beach or go walking. I agree with the other folks. If you go to Pearl Harbor that's free but getting there isn't. There is a bus that travels the Island for $1. Takes 3-4 hours but you see everything. There are also free shuttles around but mostly they want to take you to shopping places (Almeda Mall, Hilo Hatties) Enjoy the trip and research it online you'll find much more than you realize. aloha |
