When is the best month to go to Hawaii? |
Travel Info My husband, my kids, and my close cousin are planning to go. But we want to know when is the best time.... when there is less crowding but good weather. Travel Tips Any month is great in Hawaii, and you'll get a different experience each month. Try avoiding summer, spring break, and Christmas break, as that's when families with kids will try to squeeze in a vacation while they are off from school. Try early spring or late autumn. There are fewer tourists and the weather is great. Others The weather stays the same all year long. It'll be less crowded if you avoid spring break, christmas, other holidays when people typically take vacation. You can go to pretty much any hotel's website and see when their off season is. may and july that's when it's hot outside I like January. Reason: It's after winter holidays before midwinter breaks and spring breaks. Whales spend the winter there having their babies. There are less people and better deals on airfare. The weather is still good there, but normally miserable here. Been in October (which is still ok), December, January and going for Thanksgiving this year. It depends on which island you go to. Oahu is always crowded. Lahaina, Maui is beautiful (I grew up there) and there is some crowding but Maui also provides little towns with no crowding at all. The weather there is always perfect, rain falls in the months of January, February and late March. If you plan for December, you can see the humpback whales and still get in snorkeling, weather will still be nice. The rest of the islands are laid back and good for relaxing. Kauai & the Big Island (Hawaii) gets the most rain. Hope this helps and have fun!!! Try to avoid the winter months, late december through early march or so, because the winds are less breezy and there can be a lot of rain. It CAN get super hot in late august, early september. West and south sides of the islands tend to be drier, and, hotter, east sides can get a lot of rain in places. Aloha! |
