I'm movie to Honolulu this summer and wondering, should I buy a car or moped? |
Travel Info I know I can take the bus, but some times thats not always to easy Travel Tips Honolulu is a sprawling city, so I think you would want a car. Parking is never a problem, unless you are at the university or downtown. The best beaches in the world are far from town, but only 40 minutes or so driving. Too far for a scooter, but no problem in a car. Best of luck, Aloha, Steve. Others We visited honolulu this spring. There is no place to park a car. I think a scooter is the answer. They will keep up with traffic and you can park them anywhere. IF U R SURE GONNA LIVE IN HONOLULU A SCOOTER IS GOOD NOT DA BEST BUT GOOD. JUST GET ISLAND BEATER A USED CAR. N FOR PARKING PARK WERR DA LOCALS PARK. NOT UNLESS U GOT UR OWN PARKING DEN UR GOOD 2 GO DUDE! NAH JK! GOOD LUCK N HAVE FUN!! LIVE ALOHA!! The bus is also a lot more inconvenient.... Will you be traveling far distances? Do you know if you have a parking spot where you will be living? How about where you will work--is there parking for you there? I wouldn't necessarily say that there is NOWHERE to park a car in Honolulu...that's a bit of an exaggeration. Then again....there are certain spots around town where parking is very, very limited. If you will be working in Waikiki or Downtown, or at the university, get a moped. Just be very careful. Hawaii drivers are not known for their driving skills..every year, we try to outdo ourselves in terms of pedestrians hit and traffic fatalities. Also, try to lock your moped up, if you end up getting one...they're ALWAYS being stolen, especially around the university area. Well first one downsize is you can't make love on moped as on car :) Second yes I would suggest the same thing scooter is the answer, mr. bush is still president therefore prices for us Hawaiians will go up to $5 so yeah buy a scooter or some nice sport motor just please wear helmet and fyi i am not responsible for what your decision is going to be :) And please visit http://www.hawaiib.com you might be a good blogger car because you might save some gas with a morphed but its dangers and that 300 points when you hit a morphed hehehe a small car would be good I would aso recommend a small car, durring the rainy season it is difficult to ride a scooter. Dont do what I did though, I have a full sized Suburban gas hog for business, you cant afford to put gas into it, lol. |
