Hawaii in jANUARY?? |
Travel Info i'M PLANNING ON GOING TO MAUI IN LATE JAN..PROBABLY AROUND JAN 21. IS THIS A GOOD TIME..OR AM I BETTER OFF WAITING A FEW WEEKS AND GOING IN MID FEB?? Travel Tips Really, no difference! Hawaii in winter - awesome - you won't regret it!!!!! Others It is beautiful regardless of Jan or Feb It will be wet. February will be wet too. http://hawaiiweathertoday.com/index.php?... Tends to be ranier in January when compared to the rest of the year, however, staying on the west side of the island near the water, you should be fine. Since the weather will be the same in either month, figure out which month is cheaper to travel, and go then. Aloha, and I live Maui, and almost anytime of the year is good. The weather changes here all the time, but on a norm, it is 80-85 degrees all year, with trade winds around 15 to 20 mph, sometimes a lot less. The ocean is a little bit cooler, and overall January is a great time to come, as there will be whales to see that have come from Alaska to breed here. They are Hawaiian Humpbacks, and are awesome to watch. Jan. and Feb. is high season, as everybody wants to get out of the cold winter's on the mainland, so there will be a lot of traffic, but if you are staying on the west side, the weather is excellent, with very little rain, compared to Hana, or upcountry, or even Kapalua, where it rains more. Maui has over 100 micro climates so it has any kind of weather that you want. Kihei, is a little warmer and dryer, so it changes depending on where you will be.Aloha............. |
