Things to do in Hawaii? |
Travel Info we are going with my 4 year old, 20 month old and my husband. GOing the first weekend of June. Any ideas?!?!?!? Travel Tips If you are staying specifically on Oahu, visit the Dole Pinnapple Factory, the North Shore, Waikiki, Pearl Harbor and you HAVE to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center. Water activites would be limited, but if you and your husband can get away-snorkling is AMAZING. Also go to Hanama (spell check that) Bay. Keep your eyes out for celebrities too, I was there a few weeks ago and saw the entire cast of Lost and Ben Stiller. If you have time catch a hop to Maui, it is BEAUTIFUL. The Big Island is cool, Kona is loaded with shops and the volcanoes are cool to tour. Kauai is really pretty too. Yeah but the best thing for that age group would be: The Dole Pinapple Factory, The Polynesian Cultrual Center and a luau. Have an amazing trip. I sure did! Others Go on a glider ride in Mokuleia! It is the most impressive experience! Quiet and awesome! Also the beach at Lani Kai is gorgeous! Being in Hawaii is the greatest! Get to the Big Island and see the volcanoes...absolutely prehistoric atmosphere! Which island?? If you are going to the island of Oahu, go to the Honolulu Zoo, and then in the Pacific Beach Hotel, the buffet restaurant is called the Oceanarium. Part of this 3-story, 280,000 "fish tank" is in the Oceanarium Restaurant, and the other parts are on two other floors with two other restaurants. There are scuba divers who you will see at diffrent times, feeding the fish. I think your four yr old would enjoy that!! Oodles of diffrent fishes in there!! Having lunch at one of the picnic tables and watching people swimming would be enjoyable also. www.honoluluzoo.com www.pacificbeachhotel.com You didn't mention where you are going or for how long. Those are both very important factors in making decisions about how to spend your time in Hawaii. Each island is unique and each island has unique parts with lots to do on each. I'd recommend that you rent a car because it will give you the freedom to move around according to schedules that work for your children. Please keep in mind that Hawaii law requires the use of safety seats for infants and booster seats for toddlers. I suggest that you consult with a knowledgeable travel agent who will help you to make these decisions based on your family's unique needs and preferences to help you plan the best possible trip.
