Anyone have ideas on how to entertain a crowd at a Hawaiian Luau? |

Are you doing the entertaining or are they participating? If it is you, hula dancing is always good for a few laughs (especially if the guys wear coconut bras), if it is them participating, try a mock surfing contest....enter log and skateboard without wheels....while someone announces their moves they have to try to balance on the board and perform the moves. If you are only auctioning off a pie, you won't need to do much entertaining. A mile high coconut cream pie would be a good kind of pie to auction since it is a big favorite here. Also, "MacPie" sends fresh macadamia nut pies by mail and they are worth every cent. Hula, ukulele and other forms of Hawaiian music are your best choice for a short time onstage. Hawaiian humor tends to be largely cultural/ethnic and hardly anyone would get it, so I would avoid trying that. |
