What should I pack for my trip to Oahu the last week of December? |
Travel Info Please no stupid answers. Travel Tips We inevitably pack way to much everytime we go. A couple pair of shorts, undergarments, a few pullover shirts, T-shirts are on sale everywhere you go, 2 bathing suits, one pair of flip flops (slippas) you will wear these almost exclusively, wear a comfortable pair of walking shoes on the plane for hiking later. A nice aloha shirt if you don't plan on buying one there. It is informal everywhere you go, it is casual dress day everyday. Photography equipment, very few toiletries (they are furnished everywhere you go), plenty of sunblock. A big extra suitcase to pack back purchases you make there. A beachbag and fannypack are invaluable. You would be surprised at how little you are actually going to need once you get there. Don't forget reading and puzzel materials for the plane ride and plenty of snacks to munch on the plane, most flights nowadays charge for anything you eat and salty airline foods and snacks will dehydrate you and make jet lag much worse.. A neck pillow for the flight also helps the hours of sitting and maybe help you sleep. Bring you own headphones also, the ones the airlines provide are not very good. Pack a small travel blanket, the airlines don't always provide those and sometimes it gets a little chilly on the flight, especially on the way home when you have had plenty of sun, and if the flight is at night. Wet wipes are also high on our list of little things that make travel much easier. Your own bacterial no water soap for airplane and airport restrooms, don't want to be sick the entire time you are there. Whatever you forget the ABC store will have it, they are on every corner in Honolulu and prices are reasonable. Making the trip over and back comfortable is important to insure you enjoy your trip once you are there. It can easily be the most miserable experience of your trip. Others jeans...t-shirts...bathing suit...socks, underwear....visit the bar "Davey Jones Locker". It's a beautiful place but personally I hated it lived there for a year DATS EASY I TELL ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY @LEAST 2 OR 3 SHORTS SAME WITH T-SHRITS OH AND 2 SWIMWEAR. SLIPPAHS (FLIP-FLOPS) SUNBLOCK. IF GOING SUM WHERE NICE TO EAT OR DANCING 1 NICE CAPREE OR SHORTS & SHIRT. ALL DIS COULD FIT IN A CARRY-ON & STILL HAVE ROOM FOR DA THINGS U BUY IN HAWAII. HAVE FUN!! LIVE ALOHA!! |
