Travel Info Also I know it part of the US but is it also considered a pacific island or not? Travel Tips It is a pacific island (Oahu), but it is just unbelieveable!! I have been there six times, and have fallen in love with it!! Waikiki Beach is fantastic, and you can see into the ocean, not like the Atlantic ocean, where it is very murky, but you can actually see the fish swimming!! That is how very clear it is!! It is the bluest blue that I have ever seen in my entire lifetime!! And the rainbows.........ohhh my goodness!! The colors are just fantastic!! The people there are the most friendliest people that I have ever had a chance to meet!! Go there just one time, and you will "get hooked"!!! I went last year for my 1st anniversary and stayed in Waikiki. It has the CLEAREST and BLUEST waters I have ever seen and I am now moving there at the end of this summer. That is how gorgeus it is. It is nice for some parts,if you like congested city life. getting around is a lot easier by taking tours. I personally liked Maui a lot better. It's a big city on the Island of Oahu. It has about 850,000 people on it. It is a pacific island and in fact it's a chain of pacific islands. Only one island though is prohibited to visit as it is unhabitated and is being used by the military. |
