Resort fees? waikiki?

Travel Info
was just looking at a website too book a hotel, and in small print says (see below), am just wondering do all hotels in waikiki do this?

Depending on the property you stay at you may also be charged (i) certain mandatory hotel specific service fees, for example, resort fees (which typically apply to resort type destinations and, if applicable, may range from $10 to $40 per day),

Travel Tips
Not all hotels charge resort fees. That is for the more expensive places that provide access to special things, like classes, kid programs, spas, special events, etc. There are plenty of hotels in Waikiki that are just that - hotels, and don't charge resort fees.
Others
Yes, hotels in Waikiki all charge these fees. It's a set fee so it'll be the same regardless of what hotel you stay at.

Happy travels!
I would assume if you used specific services (spa usage, internet usage, gym, etc....)that you would be charged a fee for using them. I have never used them, so we weren't charged extra for those fees.
Not all hotels have extra services (well more than likely they all have little safe's in the rooms and they charge you a fee with those).
