I think the days of an automatic airport "lei" greeting are gone (although I could be wrong)... We certainly didn't back in 2002. Once at the airport, if you're being picked up by a hotel/resort representative or tour guide of some sort, they generally bring leis for you. When you arrive at the airport, you'll only get a lei if you've purchased a package deal and it comes with. Some hotels give leis when you arrive and check in (but not all of them) so check with the hotel if you really want one. Happy travels! you have to arrange and pay a little extra to have someone say aloha and put a lei around your neck as you exit the plane...its nice though...i think it cost a whole $25 extra. not too bad! |
