Is September a good month to visit Hawaii?

It's a great month to visit, but don't let the trade winds fool you, it can still get quite warm. I went the Sept. 21-28, and loved it. It's a different kind of heat, no humidity, and if it rains it's usually starts and stops like someone turned a shower on and off, and the sun keeps right on shining. It's not muggy at all. Hope you enjoy! Regardless of the weather make sure you visit the Polynesian Center, it's a must see especially for first timers. If you want to get gifts and souvenirs for friends and family, I'd recommend the Aloha Bowl Swap Meet (Pro Bowl is played there). It's warm all year round there, but it really doesn't get muggy in Hawaii - I'm from KY where it is miserably muggy & humid.

Through late September & October you can get great deals on vacation packages because it's going into off-season & winter.

I visited there last September (usually visit in early May, and once in early April), and it wasn't bad at all. The tradewinds help out alot and if you are near the ocean, it doesn't really seem as hot.
