Do you have to be rich to live in hawaii? |
Travel Info Do you have to be rich to live in hawaii? Travel Tips Being 'rich' is a matter of perspective. What makes you rich now? If money makes you rich, then yes, you need lots of it. If your family makes you rich, then yes, you need lots of them! Source(s): Perspective is paramount. Other Travel Tips The cost of living is quite expensive but it is a lot cheaper if you get a roommate. I plan on moving back to Hawaii very soon. Everything is very expensive there. My mom grew up there, but cost of living is very high. I remember when I visited 5 years ago milk was $4 a gallon. You have to think about how much it costs for them to import everything they do. Everything costs a lot of money. Get a room mate if anything, share the costs of things, but we looked at real estate, and it was through the roof. Best of luck. No, but it helps. The cost of living in Hawaii is VERY expensive. My wife and I were there last month and we saw an old, small, run-down house on a tiny piece of land in Honolulu, and would you believe the asking price for this place was $880,000.00?!?!! Most people living on the Hawaiian islands rent, and most households are two-income or more, so if you went to live there by yourself you would probably have a hard time making ends meet. You should DEFINITELY research the job market and the cost of apartments and houses on the island you wish to live on before trying to make a move out there. yes You don't have to be rich (I know I'm not monetarily rich and I live here) but you do have to have money skills to make your small salary last all month if you're not. Living in Hawaii is definately a two income household state....... |
