Hawaii is tired so I will be moving to Mcguire airforce base in New Jersey.? |
Travel Info I would like to know what kind activities are there and what the clubs are like? Travel Tips I live in Monmouth Co., NJ and let me tell you...the base is in the boonies!!! The place you will have to go to for any kind of action is Atlantic City. (About 30 minutes away.) Other than that, there is ABSOLUTELY nothing around! Hicksville is more like it! Good luck on the move! Others I'm not sure about the activities and clubs, but my cousin used to be stationed there, and from what I could tell, he thought it was great. He's my hero ^_^ When the whole Fort Dix terrorist thing happened, my cousin said that the pizza delivery guy who got on the base used to deliver pizza to him a McGuire. Small world. All I know is, I respect all of you Air Force members. Perhaps you'd get a better group of answers if you posted your question in the New Jersey or military section of this site rather than in Hawaii (where you're leaving). Good luck! Hawaii is indeed TIRED. It sucks! Military Wife here & were moving out of Hawaii next month, back to Mainland where we belong :) |
