You can't get a discount unless your part of the Military (like us). Go to priceline.com right now there's a roundtrip ticket from Texas to Hawaii for $701. Better buy it now before someone else does. Others orbitz Look on Expedia.com Check the internet every morning and evening and you can get some really good deals. I have purchased roundtrip air for as little as 538.00 on Delta flying out of Cincinnati the highest priced airport in the US it seems. It's the summer at the peak of high season. I doubt you'll be able to find anything for less than $800. Try the airlines directly. Also try the smaller carriers. ATA can offer flights for less but you must be able to travel from their limited departure airports. Both Hawaiian and Aloha airlines will offer last minute tickets for $200 each way (buy on Wednesday fly on Friday), but you can't guarantee that they will have them available on the date you want to travel. Best of luck. The cheapest way I have found to fly to the islands is to check with Expedia and find the lowest fare and then go directly to the website of the airline with the lowest Expedia price. Cheapest days of the week to travel are Mon. Tue. and Wed. usually, but take some time and check every day you can travel. Often times it is cheaper to book a flight to Honolulu and then purchase a ticket with Hawaiian Airlines or Aloha Airlines, their fares are $39 one way and sometimes only $19 one way. Do a little homework and you can save yourself a lot of money to do other things while there.
