Do NOT count on making good money in Honolulu unless you have great connections...........the cost of living in Hawai'i is the highest in the country, visit first and find out a lot more before moving there. Others very humid rains all of the sudden and it is pretty warm it very hot lots of bugs It has it's wet seasons and dry seasons just like any other state, but with Hawaii the seasons are reversed since they are below the equator. I visited Hawaii 5 yrs ago, this time of year. I was a bit disappointed, expecting to see a strong Polynesian atmosphere. Instead it was a very Japanese atmosphere, beautiful - but I wanted to see Polynesian. This time of year was rather dry, very little rain - averaged 80 degrees during the day and a nice breeze. The water is clear, but somewhat devoid of life. Apparently tropical storms rip away natural coral reefs, giving small aquatic animals little protection from the larger ones. Not much for anyone who likes to snorkle. It is also a very expensive place to live. As a side note, I did see the actor (Pat Morita) that plays Mr. Myagi (sp?) who was the karate master in Karate Kid LOL, He was drinking at the same bar I was. High of 85 and low of 75 daily (degrees Fahrenheit) year round with humidity of around 60%. Trade winds keep it very pleasant. It rains slightly almost daily but not enough to ruin the day. Weather is pretty much the same all year round, about 85. More rain in December and more humid. Humidity is generally not a problem as there is always a light wind. We are never unconfortable because of that. This is a real paradise should we consider the weather. Me, went often all year round. |
