The company i work for is paying for my trip to hawaii for some seminars? |
Travel Info have you gone on one of these? is it worth going? i hate my boss and she will be there. i'll miss my dauther. i'll have to use my vacation time. whould you go? Travel Tips If you have never been to Hawaii, I would go. However just because your company is paying for it doesn't always mean it's a good deal. You will be spending most of your days in seminars, and outside of the nights probably only have one free day. If you can afford to stay a couple of extra days it might make it a better deal (however I doubt you want to be away from your family that much). If you don't use all of your vacation time each year, than that is a plus for going. However if you use it all and have been to Hawaii before, I would save your vacation days for another place. Don't get me wrong, I love Hawaii but vacation days are too precious to be wasted on spending your days in a seminar. Others I have not gone to any seminars, but I have visited Oahu six times and love it! Just go to Hawaii and enjoy it. You will not spend every waking hour at the seminar!! That decision is completely up to you.....but hey, they're paying for you to go to HAWAII! You can avoid your boss.......you can bring your daughter......and hey, you'll be on vacation when you're not in class! Good luck deciding...... You should go coz the company is paying for you trip, but you should take your daughter. At least she'll have a good time outside when you're in the seminars. I hope you'll have at least 3 days of free time outside your seminars. If you don't want to go because of your boss and using vacation time, then don't go. It would be awful if you went to Hawaii and came home hating it because of this. I don't think they should make you take vacation time when you are expected to attend seminars. In that case, I would go and skip the darned things! If I'm not being paid to work, I am not working - especially if I'm on vacation in Hawaii! |
